You do not own me
I am here because I choose to be.

The bustle of the city surrounds us

Always crying for attention

And the silence of a moment is only there if you stop to listen

Stop in the street on the cement roadways and feel the wind as it dances around your body
The heat of the sun is washed away
The noise of the traffic fades
You can be in serenity if you follow my lead

But i will not run into the path of insanity and chaos.

I will not be swept away by the speeding cars

I will stand in the wind as the sun beams upon me in the middle of this concrete highway and i will look at the sky.

You do not own me, i will do as i please and i will be happily here

And you can be swept away.

bless the courage and self knowledge you devoted and lived to be able to pen such truths. indeed what many are seeking…this sense of no one owning… what’s helped me healed a sense of inferiority or weakness or alone time and again is to radically align thought to Spirit…truly the only “being” that owns any of us if you will…though I prefer to think of it as the only being that images us all forth. May we each keep on halting the pulls of ego control power and force — really all the effect of fear based living– and keep being willing to defend our wholeness and completeness. When I do this it’s such a powerful armor against that which would try to quiet control or delete me. 🙂 Grateful beyond to know of you!
